Thought Leadership

Given the rapidly changing business context in which the Human Resource profession operates, thought leadership is critical to stay current and keep our practices cutting edge.

totus has initiated four important steps in this direction.

totus had pioneered a participative search event - Employment 2010, that aimed at unearthing and exploring the trends that would characterise employment in India in 2010.

"Under the Bonnet" our highly respected quarterly journal distributed to business leaders, CEOs and HR professionals addresses key issues in the area of people management. Each edition deals with one issue, concept or practice at a time and examines it in depth.

totus regularly undertakes research projects in areas of relevance to the field of Human Resources and publishes its findings. Our research publications like “Mind of the Indian Professional”, “FMCG Culture”, “Emerging Organization Structures” and “Lagaan Effect” have received wide acclaim.

The “totus anniversary colloquium” is a unique annual event designed to shape thinking and build consensus on key organizational or people issues and is attended by our customers, business leaders and HR Heads. Each year’s colloquium focuses on a different theme.

Our first anniversary colloquium titled “Human Resource Challenges in the coming decade” was held on June 11, 2001 and the second on “Putting passion to work” was held on June 21, 2002. Our third anniversary event titled “Employment 2010” on the trends that would characterise employment in the future was held on September 6, 2003.Our fourth anniversary explored the theme of “Equal Opportunity India” was held on December 10, 2004.

Our fifth Anniversary Colloquium, on June 11th 2005, titled “We, the Leaders…” brought together 20 Business Heads / CEOs of India to explore the theme of Indian Leadership.

We currently have yet another research project in progress – “The Future of HR” to coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the HR function in India.
